General Training FAQ

Q: What if I’m not strong or fit enough yet?
A: You don’t need to be in shape to start. Most students begin as beginners, train at their own pace, and get stronger week by week with help from our coaches.

Q: Is training intimidating?
A: Starting anything new can feel intimidating — that’s normal. Bangkok Boxing Fitness is beginner-friendly, welcoming and paced for all fitness levels. You control your own intensity.

Q: Am I too old to train?
A: No. Students train with us in their teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond. It’s never too late to get stronger, healthier and more confident.

Q: Is it too difficult for beginners?
A: Not at all. Classes are scaled for all levels, and coaches break down technique step-by-step. With consistent training, you’ll improve faster than you expect.

Q: Will I get hit?
A: Not in regular fitness classes. Kickboxing and Muay Thai fitness classes are non-contact but still teach real technique. Controlled sparring is optional and only for students who choose it, after they’ve built a foundation.

Q: Do I need experience?
A: No experience is required. Most members start with zero martial arts background and build skills over time.

Q: Do I need gear?
A: For fitness kickboxing and Muay Thai, gloves and hand wraps are recommended. For No-Gi BJJ, athletic wear such as a rash guard and shorts works best. Our team will guide you on what to get and when.

Women’s Fitness FAQ

Q: Are your classes good for women?
A: Yes. Many of our members are women who train for fitness, confidence and stress relief. Classes are safe, welcoming and beginner-friendly.

Q: Will I feel out of place as a beginner?
A: No. Women train at every level here — from first-timers to advanced athletes. Coaches make sure beginners feel supported, not judged.

Q: Is this safe for someone who has never done martial arts?
A: Yes. Coaches prioritize safety, clean technique and proper warmups. Non-contact training is available in all fitness classes, so you can focus on learning and getting in shape.

Youth & Parents FAQ

Q: Do you offer youth martial arts classes?
A: Yes. Most locations offer youth Muay Thai and/or BJJ programs depending on the schedule.

Q: What age can kids start training?
A: Typically, kids can start around age 7, depending on maturity and the class type.

Q: Is martial arts safe for children?
A: Yes. Youth classes focus on discipline, focus, fitness, confidence and controlled technique. Safety is always the top priority, and classes are structured and supervised.

Membership, Pricing & Scheduling FAQ

Q: Do you offer a free trial?
A: Yes. New students can try a class for free at participating locations.

Q: How often should I train?
A: Most beginners start with 2–3 classes per week. You can add more sessions as your fitness and schedule allow.

Q: Is training affordable?
A: Membership rates vary by location and program. Many students find training surprisingly affordable once they compare it to takeout, nights out or other non-essential spending.

Q: Can I train with injuries or limitations?
A: Often, yes. Our coaches work with fighters who deal with injuries regularly and can modify movements for back, shoulder, knee and other limitations. Always let your coach know what you’re dealing with before class.

Location FAQ

Q: Do all locations offer the same classes?
A: Class options vary slightly by location, but all three gyms offer kickboxing, Muay Thai and boxing. Some locations also offer No-Gi BJJ, MMA and youth programs. Check each location’s schedule for current offerings.

Q: Which location is closest to me?
A:

  • Midtown Atlanta – Convenient for in-town residents and professionals

  • Gwinnett (Duluth) – Great for students and families in the northeast suburbs

  • Alpharetta – Ideal for North Fulton, Milton and Johns Creek

We recommend starting at the location closest to your home, school or work so training fits easily into your week.
